Your comic prices are low. What price guide do you use?

You sell comic books. How do you grade?
I use the widely accepted Overstreet Comic Book Grading Guide, third edition. I try to be as accurate as possible using the guide as reference. I refrain from giving exact numeric grades as comic book grading is highly subjective. I also urge you to keep in mind that while I am not a PROFESSIONAL comic book grader--NEITHER ARE YOU. I have been collecting comics for the better part of 25 years and if you receive a book that you feel has been substantially over-graded, I welcome you to contact me. I will always be happy to offer further customer service after the sale.

What is your returns policy?
I work hard to satisfy all customers and refer you now to my terms page.

Where are you located?
I'm a US seller based in Florida.

Pictures, are they the actual product?
Yes. I do not drop ship or use stock photos. Any photo that you see will be a photo of the ACTUAL product that I have in stock and you will receive. So if you see a photo of a comic book or baseball card, click on it to zoom and check it out. This is important because that's the actual book/card/item you will be receiving if purchased.

Credit Card charges through PayPal or Google Checkout...
PLEASE TAKE NOTE: If you use either PayPal or Google Checkout to process a credit card order for a purchase from The Rat's Pack, an eCrater store, your charges may appear on your billing statement as; The Rat's Pack or This 'N That Pack Rat or eCrater. By purchasing through eCrater from The Rat's Pack with your credit card of choice using either PayPal or Google Checkout, you are authorizing a charge to your credit card in the specified sales amount plus any applicable taxes, shipping and handling charges.

Is my payment safe?
Yes. If you are choosing to pay with credit card and not money order, you have the options of using either Google Checkout or PayPal. Both are reputable, independent, third party vendors. They use the most up-to-date measures to ensure transaction integrity as well as buyer/seller protection.

top^

Do you drop ship items?
No. I do not sell any items that I do not have physical possession of at the time of their posting.

I purchased an item and it was damaged during shipping!
I take great care to package all items securely, but once a package leaves my hands and is shipped anything can happen. Things occur that are out of my and your control. It is rare, but it does happen. Items that are of higher cost/value I will detail all shipping information and whether or not shipping insurance is included in the charges listed. If it is not detailed in the item description, I STRONGLY ENCOURAGE COMMUNICATING THE REQUEST FOR SHIPPING INSURANCE OR CLARIFICATION BEFORE MAKING THE PURCHASE.

top^

I purchased an item and have to sign for it?
Some items, usually of greater value (but not always), will require signature confirmation of receipt. This detail will either be noted in the item description, or in an email from me. This protects both parties and helps ensure the integrity of the transaction. Please be sure to adjust accordingly for your delivery if signature receipt has been detailed. I also refer you to my terms and conditions page now.

Who are you?
My name is Mark and I'm a small, opportunistic dealer in collectibles and various items of interest based in Florida, just above the greater Tampa Bay area. I do buying and picking excursions throughout Florida and the Southeastern US. You can learn a little more about me, This 'N That Pack Rat, in my "about us" section.

top^

Do you haggle and accept best offers?
Yes! I consider reasonable offers on LARGER purchases after civil communication has been established through email or phone contact. BTW; methods of payment make a HUGE difference when negotiating for better pricing.

top^

Do you offer discounts?
Yes, I am open to discounts on larger purchases and specific items to well-established repeat collectors/customers. I am also very open to offering discounts to those that wish to deal with money orders instead of Paypal or Google Checkout (I will pass on the savings) especially when dealing with comic books. I strive to offer the best value I can to my customers, but can only do this if they are open to establishing buyer rapport. Look in my "contact us" area for more information.

top^

Do you buy as well as sell?
Yes! It's hard to be a successful seller/dealer unless you're also a buyer from time to time. I do consider purchasing collectibles and unique items of interest pertaining to pop culture and artifacts of greater Americana. If you're interested in selling to This 'N That Pack Rat, shoot us an email or give us a call. I am able to travel (within reason) to the seller if the item(s) or collection has peaked my interest (mainly within the South and Southeastern US).

top^

What sort of things do you buy?
Take a look around and you will see the things This 'N That Pack Rat is looking to add to The Rat's Pack.

top^

Do you sell internationally?
At this time I deal (buy) throughout the Southern/Southeastern US and sell nationwide (including Alaska and Hawaii) as well as Canada. I currently do not support sales to any other international customers. I may expand my sales base in the future so be sure to check back.

top^

I've seen something you sell in another place. Do you match prices?
In short...NO! I'm not a national retail outlet and I'm not interested in running my business like one either. I try to take care of established collectors/customers and you can look in the FAQ's for specifics regarding this. Remember, nobody is obligated to purchase anywhere. That's a matter of personal choice, ALWAYS.

top^

I've made a purchase and it was refused. What's up with that?
As a sole proprietorship business I reserve the right to refuse sales whenever I choose. I conduct business how I like and as safely as possible for my business. I've been in online retail for years and the amount of buy-side scams is increasing not by the year, but by the day. Don't take things too personally if you're order has been refused--it's only business.

Your comic prices are low. What price guide do you use?
I do not price any item in my store strictly according to any one particular price book or guide. Instead I try to keep pace with the current selling environment. I use price guides as secondary reference sources. Yes, you will see many items priced below book, and some other things above. Most of my comic books are well below book value. Why? Well, remember that I am able to pass along value to you, the collector, because I keep my overhead to a minimum and eCrater helps keep those costs low as well. Finally, the last thing I think you want to be doing is pay full retail prices. Selling online helps me compete and beat many brick and mortar stores pricing.
